    Today I weighed in at 178#, just three pounds away from my next goal. To be honest I might go back up to 185# I felt better there.

    So, Day #3 of “all meat diet”. I am starting to feel strange with 0 carbs. Hard to explain… I am coming in a 5pm for Jackie. I recently did this in 7:14 when eating regular Paleo, so it will be an interesting comparison. I hope I don’t pass out!

    So bummed I am not going to make this one! Have to play nursemaid to a friend getting her wisdom teeth pulled. Maybe I can attempt this tomorrow depending on how cool the workout tomorrow is! Good luck everyone!!!!!

    Mark…. what the heck with the all meat diet?!?! What is the scoop with that? What are you trying to accomplish and …etc etc… The vegetarian is curious. ;)

    We’re going to miss you Trinity! I hope you have all the ice packs lined up for your friend.
    So, long story short, I have been having a hard time with the explosive Olympic lifts on Paleo (at least -12 kilos on my C&J and -8 kilos on my snatch). I’ve tested this 3 times with 60 day strict periods. I have a sneaking suspicion that the lower glycemic index of Paleo foods is the culprit, somehow. I LOVE Paleo for the anti-inflammatory benefits which I have definitely felt (especially in my 40+ year old shoulders).
    Going 0 carb (aka “all meat”), then go back to Paleo, I’m hoping my body will recalibrate how it handles internal sugar production (i.e. improve the efficiency of my fat cells) enough to make Paleo doable for lifting.
    I will keep y’all posted on the outcome! 7/31, I’m back to Paleo through August to coincide with a heavy 8 week pre-competition cycle. 7/30 I have to eat a piece of birthday cake, though, because my daughter is turning 7!
