Pain Sprinkle

Dave talked about a workout called Pain Storm that we are going to do in a couple of weeks, so today we did something that I am going to characterize as Pain Sprinkle. Workout is as follows:

  • 400M run
  • 100 situps
  • 60 turns on the jumprope
  • 80 walking lunges
  • 60 pushups
  • 60 turns on the jumprope
  • 40 dips
  • 60 turns on the jumprope
  • 10 L pullups
  • 10 pullups
  • 400M run
  • 4000 ft on the infinite rope (spread among 7 people)

Afterward we did the Sunday ritual at Flippers where Dave had his inaugural breakfast calzone. So much for the workout :-)

Card Night @ LHC

Thursday night we will play cards at LHC, it’s a workout with a deck of cards. We will choose the excercises before the games begin.  7:30pm warm-up and games begin at 7:45pm.

Reservoir Rim, Easter Sunday — March 23, 2008

Walked/ran the Lafayette Reservoir Rim Trail.  5.0 miles even.  Two very steep hills, lots of sun.  Happy Easter, everyone!

Football! — March 16, 2008

6 points each for: 80 squats, 40 pushups, 20 pullups, 10 burpees

3 points each for: 30 kettlebell swings, 20 dumbell presses, 20 box jumps

Extra point: 20 situps

Divide up into teams of two, and play two 12-minutes halves with a five minute break.   We finished up by 2 minutes per team on the endless rope, with 3 points added to our scores for each hundred feet of climbing.
